💙🐏Joaquin Elementary Parent Pick-Up Reminder🐏💙
Joaquin Elementary families, we are so excited to have everyone back! As we get settled into a new school year, we wanted to share a quick reminder about parent pickup and a few important traffic reminders.
Please take a look at the map below before pickup so you know which line you should be in.
🔴 RED LINE — 3rd Grade & Younger (or 4th and 5th with a sibling that is younger)
Students in 3rd grade and younger will use the red pickup line and red pickup exits.
🔵 BLUE LINE — 4th & 5th Grade ONLY
Students in 4th or 5th grade who do not have a younger sibling will use the blue pickup line and blue pickup exit.
PLEASE NOTE: The blue line is NOT cutting the red line!
If you are waiting in the red line and see cars going through the blue line, they are not getting ahead of you. They are simply going to the separate pickup area for our 4th and 5th grade students.
Someone from our staff will be outside with an orange barrier to let the blue-line cars know when they can go around to the blue pickup area.
🚗 A QUICK DROP-OFF REMINDER
Morning parent drop-off is ONE LINE for everyone. It is not the same as our afternoon pickup process.
For everyone's safety, please do not park and walk your child across the parking lot during drop-off. Please stay in the drop-off line and follow the directions of the staff members outside.
🚗 A FEW OTHER IMPORTANT REMINDERS
• Please stay in your vehicle during parent pickup.
• Please do not park and walk across the parking lot to pick up your child.
• Please do not block the Annex entrances.
• Please do not block the bus lane entrances.
• Please follow the directions of our teachers and staff who are outside helping with traffic.
We know it may take a few days for everyone to get used to the pickup routine, so please be patient with us and with one another! Our goal is to get everyone home safely while keeping traffic moving as smoothly as we can.
Thank you, Joaquin families, for helping us keep our students safe!
