As we prepare for the upcoming school year, our district will be transitioning from the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) program back to the traditional meal application process. This means families will need to complete a free and reduced-price meal application to determine eligibility for lunch benefits.
While lunch eligibility will now depend on the completed application, we want to remind everyone that breakfast will continue to be offered free to all students, regardless of meal application status.
Applications for free and reduced-price meals will be available in the online enrollment packet and made available on the JISD website before the start of the school year. We encourage all families to complete the application as you will not automatically qualify for benefits.
Our goal is to make this transition as smooth as possible and continue supporting student health, learning, and success through nutritious school meals.

Joaquin ISD has scheduled a substitute training and orientation on June 3rd, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. for anyone interested in serving the district as a substitute for the 2026-2027 school year. The training will be held at the Annex building behind the High School. Please complete an application online located on the school website www.joaquinisd.net under employment opportunities. Attendance does not guarantee that you will work as a substitute. A criminal history background check is part of the process and must be initiated by a Texas school district.

The July training has been tentatively scheduled for July 16th at 9:00 in the Annex building behind the high school.
